Hi Orca Gurus,
Trying to install orca-0.27b3 using "install" instructions. "configure"
success but make fails with error related to "rrdtool-1.0.40". Saw similar
problem in this archive but how would I build using my existing
"rrdtool-1.0.45" which is installed in /usr/local/rrdtool-1.0.45
why does it do anything with "rrdtool-1.0.40" when I have "rrdtool-1.0.45"
already installed ?
I even installed all pre-requist perl modules manually.
make error :
checking for the C compiler perl wants to use to build its
modules... ./configure: test: unknown operator -B/usr/ccs/bin/
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target
`rrdtool-1.0.40/config.status'
Current working directory
/oradata/installs/solaris/freeware/monitor/orca/orca-0.27b3/packages
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'
Further info :
Running Sol8(with recomended patches applied) and rrdtool-1.0.45 already
installed !

to use latest perl : # cd /usr/bin ; ls -la perl
