Is that the whole error you're getting?

Does the file /usr/local/rrdtool-1.0.37/lib/perl/auto/RRDs/RRDs.so
exist?  Can you run ldd on it and send the output?

You need a newer version of RRDtool.  Use the latest version at

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/pub/?M=D
