[Orca-users] Orca License

Your .cfg looks fine, but have many, let's say, /opt/orca/bin/orca processes
do you run to process your 400 servers. What I have done is setup multiple
orcallator.cfg's to group my servers. Then, I split the process up, maybe
running 20-25% of the servers per process. I've found that to buy me some
time.

Aaron
I have to be honest , I have not done any form of tuning.
If you got any suggestions or idea's then please let me know.
FYI the top part of orcallator.cfg , looks like
require Orca 0.265
base_dir /local/data1/orcallator_column_data
rrd_dir
state_file orca.state
html_dir /local/apache/htdocs/ora
expire_images
find_times 0:10 1:00 6:00 12:00 19:00
group orcallator {
find_files
/local/data1/orcallator_column_data/(.*)/(?:(?:orcallato
r)|(?:percol))-\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}(?:-\d{3,})?(?:\.(?:Z|gz|bz2))?
column_description first_line
date_source column_name timestamp
interval 300
filename_compare sub {
my ($ay, $am, $ad) = $a =~
/-(\d{4})-(\d\d)-(\d\d)/;
my ($by, $bm, $bd) = $b =~
/-(\d{4})-(\d\d)-(\d\d)/;
if (my $c = (( $ay <=> $by) ||
( $am <=> $bm) ||
(($ad >> 3) <=> ($bd >> 3)))) {
return 2*$c;
}
$ad <=> $bd;
}
}
Is there a better way of doing this ?
Thanks
Matt
