This specific example is from the AIX collector (orca-aix-stat.pl) but we
are noticing similar behavior on our Linux hosts (procallator.pl), but not
on Solaris (orcallator.se).
A system undergoing maintenance was rebooted about 1600 and again at 2040.
We ended up with three data files for the day:
wc -l percol-2004-11-11*
193 percol-2004-11-11-000
59 percol-2004-11-11-1600
44 percol-2004-11-11-2042
The Orca graphs show activity throughout the day and continues through the
first reboot. However, there is a gap from about 2030 until midnight, when
the process restarts. It appears as if the last 44 lines of data from
percol-2004-11-11-2042 are not being graphed.
Any ideas why this happens?
TIA,
James
