[Orca-users] no data displayed

rrd does roll-up the data and you lose granularity I'm not sure what the roll-up will be for the 1 hour interval you are using. A couple options for looking back.

I sometimes use the RRD explorer tool - packages/rrdtool-1.0.50/contrib/rrdexplorer and graph the rrd files dynamincally at the interval you need. Still lose some graularity but better than looking at monthly quarterly orca graphs.

Use the rotate graphs facility. contrib/rotate_orca_graphs - this eats-up disk space.

Keep the raw input files in gz format on disk or archive to tape - I use a couple cheap SATA drives & keep 1 years worth. You can use orcallator_column to mine specific dates and times.

	Mike

Thanks Mike that worked. A secondary question, if we need to drill down to the hourly grain of data for a week back, is there any option through orca/rrd. Does rrd loose the hourly grain on the following day ?

What does the group entry in the orcallator.cfg have ? Specifically make sure the interval matches whats in the raw file - it should be 3600 for 1 hour samples.

Standard (out of the box) orca graphs on this Sun Server are working

A secondary effort to extract oracle stats stored in OEM repository and display this via orca is not.

These custom plots are showing no data, though all the output files seem to be created
