Garry,

I actually had the orcallator data getting processed and graphed okay. The
issue was with getting procallator data processed by Orca running on a
Solaris host. I got it to work by adding the procallator group section
from procallator.cfg to orcallator.cfg. It works fine now.

RE: [Orca-users] procallator integration with orca?
Stephen,

Not sure if you've had any replies yet, so here goes.

Orcallator - using the SE tool which interogates the kernel - creates the
raw
data files. I attach examples of files to start this from our system. i.e.
S99orcallator which runs start_orcallator.
We run this on 2 client machines and place the data on an nfs share from a
third machine.

This third machine is where we process and display the graphs.
This is done by orca itself. It is started with orca ( attached ) which
uses a config file - orcallator.cfg ( attached )
I agree , naming the config file for orca itself as orcallator.cfg ia a
bit confusing.

Regards,
Garry

Maybe I'm missing something in the docs, but I just can't find anything
much about setting up procallator and getting orca to process its data and
generate graphs. Could somebody point me towards a HOWTO or some
information about how to do this? I'm running Orca on a Solaris 9 system,
and procallator on a Red Hat server. Thanks.
