[Orca-users] installation problems ...

hello all,

the story so far ... i've tried to install orca on 2 systems
with varying (lack of) success now.

on one system it fails on start_orcallator with: 
# start_orcallator
Writing data into /app/cis/orca/var/orcallator/daac3cs5/
Starting logging
Sending output to nohup.out
16130 Segmentation Fault

(and having tried this several times the '16130' changes)

and the other one i can do a start_orcallator fine, but when i do 
bin/orca -v -once lib/orcallator.cfg it eventually hawks up and dies 

(with: 
Orca version 0.27 using RRDs version 1.2009 at Wed Jun 22 16:43:44 2005.
bin/orca: warning: cannot open state file `/app/cis/orca/rrd/orcallator/orca.state' for reading: No such file or directory
Creating orca_logo.gif.
Creating rrdtool_logo.gif.
Creating rothschild_image_logo.png.

<wait a very long time>

now this may or may not have anything to do with the fact that
i haven't produced any data yet ... which i'm working on. (but
when i do an /etc/mon_cm start it fails as the rpm.cmsd isn't
running (aarrrggghhh!).)
