I feel like a bit of an outsider since I only recently both started
using svnmerge.py and joined this list, but would still like to
"speak up!" on this ;-) I feel inter-repository merging is a very
valuable feature that should not only be developed further but *also*
advertised widely and openly as one of svnmerge.py's strong points if
it's accepted. My personal story is that practically as soon as I
picked up svnmerge.py I tried to use it for inter-repository merging,
and it was Dustin's work on equal repo-relative paths (init's -L)
that allowed me to use the tool at all. And I'm sure I am not a loner
on that respect ;-)
I feel so strongly about inter-repository merging that not only
would I hate to see the feature rejected, but would also love to see
it considered for subversion itself once merge-tracking support is
released. Any word on that?
Just my two cents. Regards,...
