Here's a message from Adrian Cockcroft regarding SE3.1 working
on Solaris 8 that will be useful for orcallator users.

Hi Mark,
I don't think we will have full Solaris 8 support until after the FCS release.
I need to get a compiler licence for Rich and we are both very busy.
in the meantime you can get most of SE working by linking
# ln /opt/RICHPse/bin/se.sparcv9.5.7 /opt/RICHPse/bin/se.sparcv9.5.8
# ln /opt/RICHPse/bin/se.sparc.5.7 /opt/RICHPse/bin/se.sparc.5.8
Tools that talk to the TCP stack (the mib$ interface) only work as root
in Solaris 8 due to a security fix. There are a few 64bit related problems
as well. I'm running it myself on a 32bit Solaris 8 kernel.
Some of the rules also change, as the new pager doesn't scan, so the
memory rule needs to be rewritten for Solaris 8. priority paging is
obsoleted by S8 as well so the kernel tuning in v_a is not needed and
I think the code is written such that it doesn't get applied.
