Orca takes the following steps to get RRD installed:

1) Compile RRD library.
2) Have Perl compile glue code.
3) Have Perl install Perl RRD glue code which includes RRD library
   into Perl site_lib directory.

Which gcc version are you using?

I would recommend upgrading to perl 5.6.1 using the pre-built Solaris
binaries from

http://www.activestate.com/Products/Download/Download.plex?id=ActivePerl

and then installing RRD.

This version works better with gcc.
