I am not able to send the tarball which has the orcaNT, orcallatorNt.cfg and SourceFile.pm. so I will send it separately.

Hi Michael,

You are in luck, that I saw this message. I recently implemented orca for WINDOWS.
Thanks to Aaron Geddins for sending me the scripts and walking me through the steps.

Attached is the files please download orcallator.html to WINDOW server and orcant.tar.gz this is for Unix Server, you will need to setup.

Here's what you have to do on WINDOW system.

run perfmon.msc ---> Performance Logs and Alerts ----> Counter Logs

You can click on Action ---> New Log Setting From... ---->

select the ocallator.html file
This will open up a window where you can add more counter.

Once you start this it will start creating the percol_2003??????.tsv files

I am using openssh and rsync to copy these file to the unix server. I run rsync using crontab from unix server to bring all the files/directories.

Install from .. http://www.cygwin.com/ on windows server.

Before that I copy all the window server percol files to one central window server which is running sshd to allow the unix server to copy all the file at once.

Now once you copy the files over to unix server the orca server, there are few thing you should know..

1. The files copied from window has different name percol_2003111900.tsv and orca only understand percol-2003-11-19-00 format.
You have to change the file names or change the orcallatorNT.cfg. There is a perl script /opt/orcaNT/bin/fl_rename.pl which I wrote to convert the file names (I run it from crontab), not a great/clean script, but it works.

2. You have to remove the percol*.tsv file which you can do it by rm -f command in crontab.

3. The SourceFile.pm in /opt/orcaNT/lib/Orca is customize to read the window data file.

4. The orca file in /opt/orcaNT/bin is orcaNT which is also customize for windows data.

5. /opt/orcaNT/lib/orcallatorNT.cfg you have to change as per you counters.

That is all. Good luck
I hope I have explained it correctly.

Hello All

Have searched the mailing list for a orcallator script for windows.
I can see that it has been mentioned several times, but I havn't been able to
find the script(s) itself.

Does anybody have something like this ?

Regards
Michael
