That 'nohup.out' I think ends up in /nohup.out.  Though it might be in 
$ORCAHOME.  YMMV.  You may want to find it and look at it, as it may 
look different than your manual run below:

3.3.1sleep?  That looks odd.

Here's what my se looks like (using a 522 build, evidently)

/opt/RICHPse/bin/se.sparcv9 -DWATCH_OS -DWATCH_WEB -DWATCH_NET 
-DWATCH_TCP -DWATCH_MOUNTS -DWATCH_RAM 
-I/npd/dmichael/orca-522/lib/SE/3.4 
/npd/dmichael/orca-522/lib/dragon.orcallator.se

Note the -I above specifies the corresponding orca/lib/SE directory.  I 
don't see that in your manual-run.
