Anyone had success installing procallator on ubuntu?

I've heard an install script for ubuntu is in the works - if so, when
should it be expected?

So far, I've run config and make in the main orca directory, copied
procallator.pl to /usr/local/bin and symlinked it as just procallator. In
/etc/init.d/procallator I've changed

# Source function library.
#. /etc/init.d/functions
. /lib/lsb/init-functions

But I can't get past the "success" command:
success $"procallator startup"

My machine reports: success: command not found

So far, I can't figure out why - any ideas?

Actually, I can start it by directly using /usr/local/bin/procallator
start
